“AS THE SUN SETS, COLORS COME TO LIFE”
Another shot of the Arch of the Centuries in the University of Santo Tomas. I must have shot this structure almost fifteen times already and I have never got tired of it.
Photographed this image during the Golden Hour (30 minutes before and after sunset). I just love how the colors of the sky comes alive.
Simply stunning ;)

“SA WAKAS, NAKAPASOK DIN!”
Because of the numerous suspensions of class in the last few months, the Thomasian Welcome Walk had to be moved thrice. One of students entering the arch, as I overheard said, “SA WAKAS, NAKAPASOK DIN!”
Cool kid, he must have really wanted to study in UST ;)

“SCHOOL SPIRIT”
Every year, the University of Santo Tomas welcomes its Freshmen students with a ceremony known as the Thomasian Welcome Walk where they enter the Arch of the Centuries as to symbolize the commencement of their life as Thomasians.
The Walk was supposed to be last July, but due to inclement weather and class suspensions, it only transpired yesterday.
This was a shot of more or less 2,500 freshmen from different colleges and faculties in the University. Being there to capture the joy and all the emotions is really a private moment :’)

“GO FORTH INTO THE WORLD”
I had the best opportunity to borrow a crown jewel — an AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED yesterday for an event shoot :3 I was literally goggly-eyed by the sheer wonder of the lens, from it huge size (seemed like it’ll swallow my D5000), to its sharpness, it really can’t be beaten.
After the event, a few buddies went around and shot around campus. I took the lens out for a long exposure test. And here’s the result. Very very very very nice for an eighty thousand peso lens. Love the colors and the contrast! :3
When I grow up, I want to be able to own this lens :”>

“I, PERSONALLY, AM LOST FOR WORDS FOR THIS PHOTOGRAPH”
I personally look up to Paul Quiambao. For those who don’t know him, he’s the Quadricentennial photographer of UST. All those beautiful shots of UST, is taken from his amazing eye for photos and his camera. From fireworks to the new Quadricentennial Pavillion, he has made his mark in the history of UST as a photographer.
The University of Santo Tomas has been photographed probably in all angles conceivable through the years. I have made a personal mission to see UST in an unseen perspective through my viewfinder. This is the start of a Neo-Centennial look for UST. This is the Neo-Centennial way of looking through my viewfinder. :)
Perfect timing.
Perfect composition.
Perfect camera settings.
Perfect image output.
