“DO YOU KNOW WHO HE IS?”
One of the best photographers I have known in my entire life, he has greatly inspired me in my work as a photographer. He is such a great guy too, very approachable and very very very down to earth. I even asked his permission if I could post his photo, he gladly obliged. Cool bro, you’re just so cool.
Would you happen to know who he is? :D

TA me if you know him :3
Hello there! :D
Has anyone had an experience of using macro extension tubes?
Please tell me about your experience - how does one use it, its effectiveness and the likes :)
Am looking to buy one for myself kasi ;)
Thanks! :D

The first best thing that you can do to protect the lens from dirt, scratches and possible damage is equip it with a UV filter.
It is one of the basic accessories your camera lens should never be without. It is usually a circular transparent filter which you screw-on in front of your lens. It usually comes in various filter sizes from the small 49mm to the 82mm filter size. Be sure to buy the proper UV filter for your filter size.
Aside from serving as protection for your lens from dirt and scratches, it significantly reduces the amount of UV light rays from entering your lens, thus resulting in sharper pictures.
A word of caution:
When buying a UV filter, or any filter for that matter, skip the cheaper alternatives and go for the more expensive ones. They may cost a lot more, but it is way cheaper to buy another filter than to buy another lens.
Plus, when the more expensive UV filters do shatter, they keep shattered in place, unlike the cheaper ones which scatter the broken glass into your lens element, posing a risk of scratching your lens. :(

Better to shatter a PHP2,000 UV filter, than to buy a PHP20,000 lens.
;)

“OOOH, WIDE!”
I got a chance to meet a new friend yesterday, who was a fellow Nikon enthusiast. And he had with him this Tokina UWA lens - and 11-16mm f/2.8. I got a chance to play around this lens before, but on a Canon body. Now here he is, having the same lens, but with an F-mount. I wasted no time in tried it on my camera, and may I say it really is a pretty neat lens, having an equivalent of 16mm on a 35mm sensor. Hmmm…even thinking on buying one for myself :)

Izzz just zooo cool! :3
It’s really a head-turner around campus :D
*Let it be known from this day forth na from UST ang nagpasimula ng ganitong lanyard :))

One of the most integral accessories that I stand by on in my camera bag are lens hoods.
I always use lens hoods for my lenses (except my prime, because I have yet to find an appropriate lens hood for a thirty year old lens). Lens hoods are very effective in removing unwanted stray light from entering your camera lens which subsequently creates flare and ultimately degrades your image quality. It can be a great way to some extent, protect the lens from accidental bums and bangs when in use.
…plus they look great on lenses (makes them look more robust and professional) HAHAHA!

“BIGLANG TINGIN”
Alam mo yung biglang tingin?

“THE LITTLE PRINCE”
As a child, I was and am still a reader. And The Little Prince is one of those books that made a huge impact in my life and still does. Loneliness, being misunderstood… Those were things which made me think twice about my life. I know how to be lonely. I know how to be misunderstood by “grown-ups”. This is a fifteen year old book, with a tattered cover and faded pages inside, but the story within those pages continue to live on in my life. :’)

“CANON 5D MARK III + CANON EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM”
The BIG DADDY of Canon full-frames plus the standard zoom lens for full frame cameras, 24-70 f/2.8. I love it. I simply love this camera + lens combo. Another tack-sharp L-lens from Canon :3 Kudos to my friend Tim for taking this photo for me :D
(Pardon the my bald head) HAHAHA!

“CANON EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM”
I am a Nikon-user by heart, but when it comes to full-frame cameras and lenses, it’s another story. I’ve used this lens on a Canon 5D Mark III body, and may I say that it is so sharp. Pin sharp. And the color rendition of the lens is just amazing. If I was a Canon user and if was shooting full-frame, this would probably also my weapon of choice. :)

114,960 minutes after the opening of this photo blog of mine, and 205 followers have been with me after all those minutes.
I thank each and every one of those followers for sticking up for me, even through the darkest moments of my photo blog.
Yes, unfollowers came and took their course. I simply am thankful for them not unfollowing me, despite me not being able to update as often as I did.
More months and more followers to come! :D
Cheers! :3
